Wellington

To go to Welly, Wellington, we had to be at school at 6, so I got up at 5:30, what a difference to my usual wake up time, 8...
Then we drove for around 3 hours in the van to Wellington, and actually a lot of people live in the warfes before Wellington, because Wellington is hard to build on with its mountains or hills.

It was nice to see the ocean during a part of the drive.

It was hard and rather uncomfortable to sleep in the van, because the seats were really straight.

We arrived in Welly!

Everyone is a bit tired and dizzy after that rather long drive.

The view from the te papa museum, the national museum which is free! And really beautiful and nice!

What a beautiful day! We were really lucky, because usually it's very windy and not so nice in Wellington, and we had no wind, but a lot of heat and a lot of sunblock.

in the cablecar

I think Wellington is a very green city, and as my friend Rikke said, the hills at the back of this big city gives it a lot of stability, because sometimes you could think, the sea is going to take it all away.

Three climbing, at the top of the mountain, after the cablecar.

The city looks really calm and green from the mountain, but when you are at the centre of the city, you feel that it's a city which is moving and active.

let's be crazy!

busy city life

Priscilla and I did a little mean trick to Carla, because she forgot her shopping bag in the telecom shop but I saw it and took it with me in my bag. Later on, we asked her to show us what she bought and only then she realized that she didn't have her bag. She had a really big fright!

After some shopping, we had a little break at the warf of Wellington.

Later on we drove back to Havelock, made a littel stop in Masterton and had dinner in a Turkish restaurant, a yummy Kebab! We arrived at 10:30 in Havelock, after some problem on the road, where a way was closed.

My friends and me concluded that Wellington is a very young city, full of energy! We had a lovely day and afterwards we were all pretty tired.

  1. merci pour cette belle visite. J'adore la statue prête à plonger au bord d ela mer. Welly semble une ville verte, moderne et très propre. Bref, agréable.
