Sevilla - city center

Sevilla is the capital of the region Analusia. It is a culturally very rich city. It has a lot of arabic influences because I was invaded by the Arabs some time ago. You can notice this alot in architecture which has often mosaics and arabic designs.

I don't live in the center but in Sevilla Este which is a bit more than half an hour from the center.

I will post a few photos of the city center to give you an idea what it looks like. 

I always love to see how arabic and spanish architecture and style are mixed 

plaza San Lorenzo,
this is where my language school is located. It is very well kown for its church which plays an important role in the "semana santa"

This is the plaza nueva, which is in the center of the old town and the cathedral and big shopping streets are close by. 

This is the cathedral. It is well know in the whole world and its tower is called "la Giralda". It is probably the most important symbol of Seville.
